Thermostat for BAUKNECHT / IGNIS / KITCHENAID / LADEN / WHIRLPOOL ovens, cookers In order to achieve the ideal temperature with a view to cooking your favourite dishes in the oven, a procedure takes place within your appliance. Located behind the control knob, the purpose of the thermostat is to regulate the temperature. Equipped with a thermocouple sensor (the tiny metal cone that you can just about see at the bottom of the machine), it will detect the temperature of the appliance in real time and will thus notify the circuit board. If the temperature recorded by the thermostat is too low, the heating elements start up. If, on the other hand, the temperature is already too high, the heating elements stop. Symptoms that indicate that the appliance's thermostat may be faulty: The appliance doesn't heat up as it should Your appliance heats up all the time The oven switches off fo no reason The oven doesn't switch on at all A pyrolysis problem Your appliance won't heat up The fan continues operating when the oven is no longer being used You have now seen the problems that are often caused by your oven's thermostat!
