Installed directly behind the control knob, the role of the thermostat is to regulate the temperature. Equipped with a thermocouple sensor (the tiny metal cone that you can see at the bottom of the machine), it will detect the current temperature of the appliance and will then notify the circuit board. If the temperature detected by the thermostat is too low, the heating elements start up. If, on the other hand, the temperature is already too high, the heating elements cut out.
