The tank float is blocked
The float is a small magnet in your tank that is paired with a sensor. These two elements indicate the amount of water present in the reservoir. This can be locked in the down position if there’s limescale in your coffee machine. This way, your coffee maker will think that the water supply is empty even if you have refilled it. To solve this problem, all you have to do is descale the tank or shake it slightly, making sure it is empty!

The limescale filter is clogged
The filter is used to sieve out residues and limit scaling in your machine. Some coffee makers are equipped with an anti-limescale filter that requires it to be emptied, of air, before installation. If you haven’t done this step, then the air will block the water in the tank and your coffee won’t flow.

The water sensor is faulty
The sensor is used to detect the float, so if it is defective it will tell you that the tank is empty. You can evaluate this out by simply passing a magnet in front of it. To do this, you will need to plug in and turn on your device. You will also need to remove the tank. If the error code disappears, the problem exists somewhere else. However, if an error message is still displayed, then your sensor will need to be replaced.
