Flashing lights indicate a fault code
WARNING
Before you do anything to your appliance, make sure you disconnect it from the power supply.
There is a risk of electric shock.
Wear suitable protective gloves if you need to dismantle anything.
There is a risk of getting cut or injured.
The lint filter is saturated
When faced with a LED that flashes red or green, the first thing you should do is check the lint filter. Sometimes this signal may also produce a warning beep. This is because your dryer detects when the lint filter is saturated. All you have to do is clean it. In fact, it’s normal for the light to come on at the end of each drying cycle. That’s why it’s a good idea to make it a habit to clean the filter systematically after each use. Finally, when cleaning, if you notice that the filter has holes or deformed, replace it quickly to prevent lint from spreading into the body of the device.

Condensate drip tray overflows or leaks
If you have a condensation dryer or heat pump dryer, it is essential to empty the drip tray regularly. Also known as a condensation unit, it is used to collect water from the condenser. If your device is flashing, it is telling you that the collection tank is almost full. Empty it and put it back in its slot to see if the signal is gone. If not, proceed to the next step.
You can reuse the water from the collection tank after filtering it. For example, you can:
- Water your houseplants, which like this demineralized water better than hard of chlorinated water,
- Use it in your steamer or iron,
- Rinse your hair to make it shiny,
- Clean the windows.

The condenser needs cleaning
The flashing LEDs on your device may be a signal that the condenser is dirty. This element is essential for the proper functioning of a condensing dryer or one equipped with a heat pump. It is used to condensing water vapor and discharging it into the water collector via a pump. Inevitably, textile fibers that have managed to pass through the lint filter will accumulate in it. For this reason, the condenser should be thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis. To do this, check out our explanatory tutorials below and test the machine again to see if the problem is resolved.

The exhaust duct is clogged with lint
An exhaust dryer is equipped with a duct that carries the heated air outside your apartment or house. Over many cycles, textile fibers from the drying process will accumulate in this pipe until air cannot pass through. Cleaning it should solve the problem. Or if the air duct is punctured it will be essential to change the element.
The blinking corresponds to an error code
Have you just completed the necessary checks and maintenance but the flashing persists? This is probably an error code. Here, we invite you to consult the ‘breakdown’ chapter of your household appliance’s user manual. This is because each dryer manufacturer defines its own trouble codes. So they’re not universal. However, the operating instructions should direct you to the part that is causing the failure.
