Complete water tank for KENWOOD steam irons
The water tank holds the water for the steam iron. Usually the tank must be filled with demineralised water. This part is essential for the operation of your steam iron as it supplies water to a boiler so that your iron produces steam. The tank is usually detachable and provides unlimited autonomy when ironing, as it can be re-filled during use (without having to switch off the appliance). Its role is therefore to store the water until it is pumped out and converted into steam!
The tank may rust, leak or even break down. If this is the case, you'll need to replace it.
If there is any water leaking from this tank, it will be because it has a breakage or hole in it. Check whether this is the case by removing the tank if it is detachable, or examine the location of the issue directly.
If the leak is the result of damage to the tank, then you must replace the tank.
Please note: it is possible that water is leaking from the tank because it has been overfilled. Usually there is a maximum level indicator that allows you to monitor this. If the water inside the tank is over the level indicated, empty out some of the water!
